September 15, 2007 - MedWorxs adds electronic claims clearinghouse services with more muscle than the average electronic claims service.

The partnerships are in place and we are opening our doors to process electronic data transactions internally.

The MedWorxs Practice Management System has been updated to submit ANSI format claim transactions directly to your payers through our own clearinghouse connections.  This new service eliminates the need for print file mapping and the pitfalls associated with using outside vendors to process your EDI transactions.  Now you can count on the great MedWorxs Team and Support Services from demographic entry to claim payment.

Not only is the transition of data from MedWorxs to the new clearinghouse service more efficient but the new service also offers claim scrubbing to help you monitor LCD, CCI and other payer policy issues that may impact your reimbursement before the claim is sent.  This gives you the opportunity to review documentation and modify claims if appropriate before your claim is thrown into the delayed appeal process.  Not only can this assist in billing efficiency gains but cash flow turnover.

The robust interface provides extensive interaction with your transmitted claims.  From real-time direct claim status requests to automatic generation of timely filing appeal letters including payer transaction codes and tracking data, this new service adds muscle to your practice for all areas of payer claim follow-up.  No more need to log-in to different payer websites or to re-enter claim data to the clearinghouse for claim status tracking.  Just click on the claim and click on the request for status and you receive a payer response in seconds.

Additionally electronic remittance advices are available through the new clearinghouse service.  Plus real-time updating of your claim status throughout the work day and multiple claim submissions daily are available through the new service.  If the payer accepts multiple claim submissions daily, your claim status from the morning submissions will be available before you leave the office that day.
